Hello Team H, I am hoping you all are getting this from the mailing list. This is a great way for communication, using Reply All will send back to the list to everyone. The team needs to look at how to get started this week. 1. Reply All to this list to try to get some cross communication with possible days / times. 2. Use the Slack Channel if that is easier (other email had a link to join if you are not on there yet). Next, I need to have a contact person for the team. If you can be this person, please let me know. Once I set that person up in AR they will also see all the members parent's emails and phone numbers if that makes it easier to try to get a hold of someone. As for parts: * Robot Kit is here. I just need to label a few items in there (Brain, Controller, Battery). * Laptop is purchased and I will pick it up tomorrow to set it up. Brand new one. 🙂 * Bins for small parts, I hope to get those purchased tomorrow and get them labeled the next day or so. Thanks, Chad

Just resending this to make sure everyone gets it since I have not heard back from anyone yet. We need to get teams started next week to get ready for Leagues. Also, updated the mailing list to be like the others; it is now v5-h(a)lists.allendalerobotics.com Get on Slack and the #V5-61187H channel is for your team, makes for an easier instant messaging. Invite link if you need to join still: https://join.slack.com/t/ar-vex/shared_invite/zt-vprmrr5e-D3QEXjldrN6QDJCUQ… Thanks, Chad ________________________________ From: chad(a)allendalerobotics.com <chad(a)allendalerobotics.com> Sent: Thursday, September 10, 2026 10:45 PM To: v5-h(a)lists.allendalerobotics.com <v5-61187h(a)lists.allendalerobotics.com> Subject: V5 Team H Hello, I wanted to send this out to let you know that you are all on V5 Team H. This is a new team this year, so you will get a new kit of parts for the robot build, and I will be getting laptops hopefully this weekend. Team Members: * Ari * Simon * Payton * Justice * Ethan This group is a 5-person team, 3 are new, and 2 are advancing from our VEX IQ program. Overall, this looks to be a good mix of students (it is a blend of 8th and 6th graders). We do need to get a parent to help with the main contact for the team. This parent (we can have more than 1, preferably 2) will get keycards/keys issued to get into the room(s) and will have access to the Teams Portal on ARMS for setting up the team meeting schedule and for helping with information / communications. There is no technical experience needed.... we had a team a few years ago that 2 mothers help facilitate and the kids did all the work... went all the way to worlds and one of our only VEX worlds award. So, really, we can have anyone helping, just need to be able to help facilitate the group. If you would be able to help with this please let me know, that is rally the first step to kicking off the team. Next steps (from there): * Setup meeting days / times * Create a Team Name * Get a game strategy * Mega Leage Schedule If you have Slack, you will be added to the #V5-61187H Channel also. This will give you a spot for quick communications, meeting reminders, etc. Being mainly new, I would suggest starting with the Hero Bot (available on the VEX Site). This is a good starter and learning tool. Get it running and then look at how to improve it or tear apart and do something different. I will try to get some manuals and Hero Bot instructions printed off this weekend. Thank you for being part of our Robotics Family! Thank you, Chad
